Despite the most important international football match for England in over a quarter of a century taking place at the same time as their gig the Kings managed to get in a fab set of 60’s and 70’s classics at the ever popular Fox and Firkin in Lewisham. While not quite managing to revive “Back Home” or even “Cinnamon stick” all our songs made reference to footballing events from a golden era when footballers had proper sideburns,nicknames like “bites yer legs”and celebrated their saturday shenanigans with a pint or ten down the local or dalliance with a young model in a west end night club.
